I am an Assistant Professor of science education at Brigham Young University where I teach elementary teachers how to teach science. I prepare elementary teachers who teach science lessons that engage students in thinking about significant science ideas.
I also research questions related to teachers’ knowledge of science, such as:
- How does a teachers’ science knowledge change with teaching experience?
- How are teachers influenced by what they’re assigned to teach?
- What does it mean to know science like a teacher?
